Rachel Shelby is a no-nonsense commander. She's tough, but also fair.

Darien Ramie is known to be a goofball, but underneath it all he's an understanding and caring man. He just happens to be sub-commander under Rachel.

They are polar opposites. They are also ex-lovers.

Now they must work together to determine why one of the monitoring stations in Darien's sector has ceased to operate, and why two of his teams that went to investigate have not been heard from since.
